Disease

Unfortunately, many trees in Mobile are susceptible to disease. When unhealthy or dead trees are taken down, the stump can continue to harbor that disease. The disease could potentially spread to other trees if the stump is not removed.

Safety Hazard

When you’re getting exercise in your yard or mowing your grass, it can be an inconvenience to have stumps in your way. Aesthetics

While it’s certainly amazing that a stump can yield a baby tree, that sapling might not grow into a beautiful, strong tree.
